Letters to WOW # 1

WOW- what a great idea! It is remarkably disarming to utter such a phrase to one incensed with anger. Keep up the good work. WOW!

I came across your website and I think it is absolutely wonderful! Amazing how one little word can make a world of difference. Please add me to the list.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to be on the internet much longer. I really enjoyed the stories and the meaning of WOW, my only wish is that you published a magazine so I could read it all the time. Hopefully my future holds a computer in it. I am truly enlightened by your web! Well I was fortunate to have at least found you and when I do get my computer someday I'll be sure to return to it. Also I'll pass the word around and your web address.

Thanks for enlightenment!!

Carmen,

What a cool site and what an inspiring story you tell. I look forward to having my books read by your visitors.

Take care & enjoy,

What a wonderful surprise. I started this search after reading an article on Paulo Coelho in Common Boundary magazine. I love your mission statement. One more positive sign from the Universe that good surrounds us all.

I visited your page, I have troubles being that optimistic but am trying harder. Maybe between you and Sylvia Browne I will look at things a bit differently. I will do my best to digest all of this and become a better person because of it. Thank you!!! Love

Henry

I want to tell the world, "I wish only well!"

God bless you. Your message and many others like Oprah's "Gratitude is an Attitude" is starting to make a comeback. I hope that we can change the world! It is sad that politeness is seen as weakness. Keep up your work and let me know if there is anything that I can do to help!

Just discovered you this morning, and found you wonderfully inspiring. A lot has happened over the past few years to make me, well pretty far down from where I have been previously. Your message rings as a truth that will take me away from my own problems, and allow me back the potential for development again. Thank you, and please add my name to the list.

Hi Carmen,

It's a Sunday evening at home and I am blessed to happen upon your information. WOW will be a different word for me from now on. Thank you for attempting to spread the simple, but oh so important philosophies of this life we live. We are all links in the human chain, and one by one we CAN make a difference. Thanks for the reinforcement. God bless you and yours.

Hi Carmen,

To me, WOW is applicable in every aspect of my life. I am immersed in business and very materialistic and success oriented, but - I believe I am successful only if I can come out of a transaction with a win-win situation. In a corporate structure I believe in "Power to" instead of "Power over" - this eliminates people having to step on their colleagues and friends to achieve recognition and promotions. Peace and goodwill does not have to be sacrificed for profit in business and mercantile commerce. In fact dividends increase and profits grow when you work with sincerity and integrity which help to promote peace and goodwill whether it be in a small basement operation in your home or in a multinational corporation involved in global trade.

I'm not an expert on peace and good will, but I think my experiences must be worth something. I've travelled widely, done business with 28 countries, been exposed to several cultures and lived through several situations that have literally rocked the foundations of my Roman Catholic upbringing. "Human values" and the "Value of humans" cannot be mandated by apex organizations manned by temporary representatives from scattered countries. The organizations themselves have been founded on conflicting principles. Just look at the idea of "peacekeeping" by sending in a "fighting force" to establish "peace".
People have to do it for themselves...

I like what you're doing.

I was referred to your web site by a friend I have known through the web. What a wonderful uplifting and inspiring idea and site!! I have bookmarked it and will refer this wonderful site to a few other friends on the web.!! It is a very simple yet profound philosophy to live by. I hope to grow and learn further through your site. Bravo to you and all that you do to facilitate insight and compassion. I also salute you for your candid stand as a WOMAN who has gone beyond her fears and limitations only to mirror how we all indeed can do this, especially woman!! Thank you. I am interested in your magazine and wish to contribute to the well-being of your work!! Good luck and the best to all who use this approach in life!!

Thank you for your time and patience.

Dear Carmen,

I stumbled across the Wow Zone. I was impressed, and would like to somehow have my pages linked with yours. At any time of the year, but especially during this Holiest of Seasons, if only people and nations would think about Wishing only Well for one another we may achieve true Peace on Earth. It has to start with each and every one of us ... deep inside us we have to do only "well" things. Let's put away our guns, our gauntlets, our anger, our envy, our hatred, and let us treat one another as brothers and sisters, children of the same Almighty Creator.

I wish you and yours the Holiest of Christmases, and may the New Born King of Kings shower upon you His bountiful gifts.

Dear Carmen:

I too believe in the basics of your chosen life-style. Sorry to hear that it took such a measure of action to introduce it to yourself, however, God / Karma / Smarts works in mysterious ways no?

It's tricky finding the 'Ghandi-like' way, when so many others are caught up in insecurities and low self-esteem that they have to put themselves ahead by looking for guilt or pain and weakness...(which is simply exposing their own to begin with..)

A very intelligent man (up here in Canada) by the name of Rick Hansen was in an accident years back. He was paralyzed from the hips down. What did he do ? He hand-rolled his wheelchair around the world to raise money for spinal cord research. Obviously, this was a few years after the accident, but I had the chance to interview him years after he accomplished his amazing feat. Probably the most interesting advice this incredible soul-filled human said was "it's not the circumstances in life that you have to worry about, it's how you DEAL with them".

I could go on for a long while about the philosophy, but yours and mine are the same, and it's just nice to know that there are people who believe in a higher 'being' (of humanity). I'm not sure if I'm ready to start any massive belief in WOW as such, but the spirit of your message touched me, and is something that I've thought about for awhile now.

I'm not religious, and that's not important anyway. I enjoy myself, and indulge in many of life's 'evils', etc., but still find time to recognize the goodness and fragility of the human spirit. My friends think I'm nuts sometimes, but that's OK. They believe in me even if they don't quite understand it...yet. That's why they are my friends.

You are quite right in your thinking. Good luck to you !

Dennis

This is the best article I have found in the newsgroups. I have spent the last two hours trying to find something that was not discouraging. I have found it. It is nice to take the personality test and find the people who have the same traits as I do. I now see my potential.

Thanks for the wonderful uplift.

Dear Carmen,

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! I am so very glad to have found your site. It is totally what I believe in. I am one person who is making a change in the world, first my inner world by becoming very positive in thought, word and deed. I believe we have all collectively experienced enough heartache and now is the time to reap the benefits of positive change in the now. I am devoted to making the world a better place by first creating a loving space within myself for myself. Your WOW site is full of inspiration for me and I am sure countless others. Please put me on the WOW list. You are another of GOD's angels on earth. Peace to you.

Boundless Love and Light,
Patrick R. Reynolds

Would you please add my name to your list to wish the whole world well.

Anne Simon <amsimon@worldchat.com>

It seems to be a great and unfortunately needed organization. I am looking for some ideas about how to produce biogas out of common household waste. Just for help to the electric system to warm up my house. About becoming an WOW ambassador, we need a lot of them here in Sweden

WOW is a feeling of hope, an inner feeling that says I am alive and loving it. It's a place in my mind that's persistently looking to feed the inner feast.

Even when life gets extremely challenging and all I see are obstacles, I have this inner feeling of WOW, I am actually a part of something bigger. I am finding simple solutions to complex problems. This is my present task, so that future generations can look to my great experience and also say WOW.

Keep on smiling, do the job happily. It is my heritage, it is not a curse. We deserve to say WOW to ourselves every time we smile, and encourage others to do the same because life is a boomerang. You get what you give. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Be a good example, believe in WOW...Wish Only Well.

Carmen, love the website. it's like, ....WOW!!!!

WOW is very refreshing and invigorating. It will take me a while to absorb this all, but I really like your message. What do you draw your inspiration from? What books have you read or do you read? How did WOW evolve?

Kind regards,

Pete

Carmen,

Just a note to say Hi and wish you well. From the very brief browse I made, it looks like a wonderful project. I'll pass on your address to others and will be back to visit when I can stay longer.
